BRC Managing Partner to Chair American Red Cross Piedmont Triad Chapter

At BRC, we believe in making meaningful connections—not just with our clients, but with the communities we serve. That commitment is clearly reflected in the leadership of our managing partner, Ben Ripple, who was recently elected as the board chair for the American Red Cross North Carolina Piedmont Triad Chapter.

His involvement with the Red Cross began with lending his financial expertise to a nonprofit that plays a vital role in the community. “I was looking for a chance to be involved on the board of a nonprofit when the local chapter of the American Red Cross had a need arise for someone with a financial background,” he shared. “I had worked on the audit of another local chapter and had been touched by all the Organization does locally beyond the responses to major disasters. It was a great fit.”

This appointment marks his third time serving as board chair, but it comes with a broader scope than before. Following a merger of several local chapters, the expanded Piedmont Triad Chapter now spans from Boone to Burlington. “My focus in the role this time will expand beyond just what the Red Cross can do in Greensboro or Guilford County,” he explained.

The impact of this work is deeply felt across the region. The Piedmont Triad Chapter of the American Red Cross collects approximately 150 units of blood daily, trains around 60 people each day in lifesaving safety and preparedness skills, and responds to more than one disaster or home fire every day. “That last one has been even more important to the area since Helene devastated the western part of the state,” he added.

The American Red Cross exists to prevent and alleviate human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors. Their mission aligns with BRC’s core value of being Connected—building bridges between people and causes, and creating a stronger, more resilient community. We are proud to support leadership that exemplifies this value in action.
