A Culture of Caring
As former Managing Partner Wade Pack once said, “We are a firm of people who care about people.” That belief continues to define how BRC shows up—for our clients, our colleagues, and our communities.
Through BRC Cares, our firm-wide community engagement initiative, we bring our values to life. Guided by a dedicated committee, BRC Cares coordinates service projects, donation drives, and volunteer opportunities throughout the year across all our offices. Service isn’t just something we do—it’s part of who we are.
In the past year alone, our team has:
-
Packed classroom supplies for Tools 4 Schools
-
Volunteered at Second Harvest Food Bank
-
Responded quickly to Hurricane Helene with a supply drive
-
Collected prom dresses for teens in need
-
Supported clean water access initiatives
-
Mentored students at NC A&T
-
Delivered financial literacy lessons with Junior Achievement
-
Laced up for the PTI Run on the Runway, helping raise over $180,000 for hunger relief in the Triad
We also proudly support a wide range of nonprofit organizations through both time and financial contributions, including the American Cancer Society, Wounded Warrior Project, Lung Cancer Foundation of America, Miriam P. Brenner Children’s Museum, Blended Fellowship, and many others that reflect the diverse passions of our people.
At BRC, we also stay committed to:
-
Sustainability: Recycling paper, plastics, and aluminum in all offices and reducing paper use through digital tools.
-
Healthy lifestyles: Encouraging wellness through firm-wide programs like Marching through March, an annual activity challenge.
-
Civic and professional leadership: Serving on nonprofit boards and contributing to professional associations like NCACPA, AICPA, and HRMAG.
As Partner Freddy Robinson says, “Volunteering is personal. We don’t do it for business—we do it because we’re inspired to make a difference.” And as Director of Practice Development Andy Harding puts it, “We serve clients with care and diligence—but we’re also citizens committed to giving back to our communities, schools, and profession.”
