BRC hosted our annual CPE Symposium on November 13, 2025, at Legacy Stables & Events Center in Winston-Salem.
The day featured dynamic presentations on business strategy, economic trends, leadership, ethics, and more. Graphic Recording Illustrator Scott Rempe joined us to visually capture the event’s key insights.
This year’s sessions covered the major themes shaping 2026. Tax updates highlighted changes to bonus depreciation, the termination of 179D, and temporary OT/Tip changes—encouraging many businesses to revisit compliance plans.
Economic discussions explored the growing “dissonance” between earnings and spending, rising tariffs, high labor costs, and questions around debt sustainability. Speakers emphasized positioning for change, competing on value, and shifting from spreadsheets to strategic thinking.
Ethics and IRS updates reinforced the importance of accountability, clear communication, and readiness for potential disruptions. The day closed with insights on proactive planning, character-driven leadership, and making bold pivots when the market calls for it.
