A look back at our 2023 BRC CPE Symposium
BRC hosted a dynamic CPE Symposium for a sold-out crowd at the Proximity Hotel in Greensboro. The all-day event on Nov. 9 opened with an introduction to the important work of one of our valued community nonprofits, Victory Junction, a camp for children with serious or chronic illness. Following an overview of the 2024 Tax Forecast, an impressive lineup of speakers took the podium to share their expertise: planning for intergenerational wealth transfer, how to stay on top of leases after implementation, and considerations before hiring a remote workforce.
In the afternoon, we heard about navigating change and motivating your team to embrace it, and how community and accountability foster ethical behavior. The presentations ended with a spirited panel discussion about cybersecurity with frontline representatives from the FBI, insurance, and industry. In addition to acquiring useful information and opportunities throughout the day for professional networking, attendees earned a total 7 CPE credits including 1 for ethics training.
