A team of fitness fans from BRC will lace up for the annual PTI Run on the Runway on Saturday, March 23. They’ll join a swarm of other runners and walkers who will take off for a 5k or 10k run/walk in support of charity.
As a Silver Sponsor, BRC will host a booth for swag handouts and information on site, and the BRC logo will appear on commemorative t-shirts, along with the names of several BRC clients who also support the charitable run.
“This is a great event to get outdoors, to help those in need, and to encourage employee wellness while enjoying time together,” said Bethany Banks, CPA Manager, who is organizing the BRC team. “It happens to coincide with BRC’s Marching through March competition and is a fun way for individuals to add plenty of steps for their team.”
Serious runners appreciate the rare chance to take over the airport runway, virtually flat terrain and prime conditions to beat their personal best record, she said.
The BRC team has grown from four participants in 2022, and seven in 2023, to more than 30 this year, including employees, partners, spouses, children and friends.
“The fact that so many employees want to participate during the busiest time of year for an accounting firm says a lot about their commitment to fitness and to help the community,” she said.
Proceeds from the event support Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest NC, Greensboro Urban Ministry, and Open Door Ministries of High Point.

Our BRC team enjoyed an invigorating PTI Run on the Runway this past Saturday, despite the cold and rain! The event hosted a 10K, 5K and kids-100 yard dash all on the 9,000-foot runway. More than $150,000 was raised in the fight against food insecurity.
